Case study

Goodwill Accounting:
a full site for a Glasgow practice

A new WordPress site for a Glasgow accountancy practice, with seven service pages, practical guides, two free tools and an enquiry system that saves every lead before it emails the team.

Overview

Goodwill Accounting is an accountancy practice in Glasgow. It helps sole traders, limited companies and individuals with bookkeeping, Self Assessment, company accounts, VAT, payroll and Corporation Tax.

Its old website was a single homepage with one inner page, so there was nowhere to explain each service and very little for Google to rank. Delivix designed and built a new site, set up its SEO and search tracking, and launched it on the practice's own hosting in October 2026.

The Challenge

We reviewed the old site before we started. Every service was squeezed into a short summary on the homepage with no page of its own, so someone searching for a Self Assessment accountant in Glasgow had nowhere relevant to land.

The basics that help a page rank were missing too. The homepage had no main heading, its meta description was empty and there was no sitemap. The enquiry form asked for a lot of detail up front, and there was no record of where each enquiry came from.

  • A homepage and one inner page, with no dedicated service pages
  • No main heading, an empty meta description and no sitemap
  • A long enquiry form and no record of where enquiries came from

The Solution

We built a custom classic WordPress theme with a calm navy, cream and brass design, then gave each service its own page: bookkeeping, Self Assessment, limited company accounts, VAT returns, payroll, sole trader accounts and Corporation Tax. Each page is written for its own Glasgow search. Alongside them sit a fees page, three practical guides and two free tools, a UK VAT calculator and a Self Assessment records checklist.

Every enquiry is saved in WordPress before any email goes out, so nothing is lost if an email fails, and each one records the page it was sent from. We verified the site in Google Search Console, submitted its sitemap and redirected the old URLs to their new pages. It's the same approach we take on every website design project and in our SEO services, and it's how we build websites for accountants.

  • Custom WordPress theme with seven dedicated service pages
  • A fees page, three guides and two free tools
  • Enquiries saved before they're emailed, with the page they came from
  • Search Console verified, sitemap submitted and old URLs redirected
