Main challenges faced by 9Particle before reaching out to Delivix

Despite successfully serving numerous industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and transportation, 9Particle faced many challenges that limited its operations and management in the supply chain industry. One of the most important challenges was that the company’s website was outdated, which negatively impacted the customer user experience. Visitors found it difficult to navigate through the website, engage and take action, which led to low conversion rates and frequent page exits by customers.

Additionally, the website’s design and performance were extremely poor, with slow responsiveness and loading time on different devices. Since this server has flexible features, we were able to customise its settings to cache data and give priority to the most visited parts (high-traffic areas) of the website.

Security & encryption

Two very important Apache modules, mod_security and mod_ssl, ensured the safety of data from common web threats. Mod_security acts as a firewall and prevents harmful activities or codes from entering your website. It scans every request that comes to your website and blocks illegal or malicious activities. On the other hand, mod_ssl ensures that the communication between the user and the system is protected. This builds customer trust as the risk of your financial information being leaked is reduced.

Content delivery networks

9Particle’s supply chain website platform was used by multiple international stakeholders, such as suppliers, logistic partners, and distributors. Since they accessed data from different geographical locations, they faced slow loading and server issues. To overcome this, we used a content delivery network called jsDelivr, that distributed data and content to multiple servers near the users to improve the speed at which data reached the people who accessed it.

Important information such as order processing data, product information and inventory updates reached users faster because it was sent to them from the nearest server. This enhanced the decision-making process, improved customer satisfaction and contributed to smooth operations.

UI frameworks

We mentioned that 9Particle’s website was built without modern frameworks or libraries, which impacted its performance, especially its lack of responsiveness across different devices. To address this challenge, we used a well-known UI framework called Bootstrap 5.0.2. This framework has CSS, JavaScript and HTML elements that can create responsive and well-designed websites without a developer having to do all the hard work.

To help 9Particle maintain its website and improve user experience, we used Bootstrap 5.0.2, which automatically adjusts the website to all device screen sizes, from smartphones to laptops. Without a proper framework, the maintenance of the website was a huge issue and costly as well. Using this framework, we were able to add features, buttons, forms, and manuals without having to design everything from scratch.
